Group "Delivery" deserves attention at least that was the basis for the creation of one of the most remarkable formations Canterbury "Hatfield And The North". The group was founded in 1966 by guitarist Phil Miller, his older brother pianist Steve Miller and drummer Pip Pyle in Sawbridgeworth (county Essex). They were joined by bassist Jack Monck and singer Dez Fisher. They were called "Bruno's Blues Band". So there was a group that released one album, but became a real source of manpower Canterbury scene. In the wake of the British blues boom in the late 60's first Pip Pyle opened his club "Juniper Blossom Blues Club", and then Steve Miller opened the "Ramblin 'Jack's Blues Club". The band performed in these clubs with such stars of those years as "Fleetwood Mac", "Chicken Shack", "Savoy Brown" and "Free". At the same time began to leapfrog composition - first left Dez Fisher, he briefly replaced Simon Leigh, who led the group of veteran British jazz saxophonist Lol Coxhill. He brought more freedom in music and improvisation. At the same time, the group changed its name first to "Steve Miller's Delivery", and then simply "Delivery". October 22, 1968 the band played on the same stage with a group of "Babylon". A few weeks later "Babylon" breaks, and their lead singer Carol Grimes joins the "Delivery". Then Jack Monck left the band to join the "Ashkan" and replaces Roy Babbington. Another blow was the departure of Coxhill, which goes to "Kevin Ayers And The Whole World". At the same time the album was recorded "Fools Meeting", which was recorded in great haste because of the desire to release the record company at the peak of his popularity. There was also an attempt to rename a group of producers in the "Carol Grimes And Delivery", as the British response to Janis Joplin and Grace Slick. Because of this delayed release of the album, the band worked as session or look for another group. Although the album received excellent press, but in terms of sales of large stung. Pip Pyle went to the "Gong", was replaced by Laurie Allan. In the spring of 1971, in "Uncle Dog" left Carol Grimes. Babbington joined the "Nucleus". But the summer of 1971 returned Lol Coxhill and joined former soloist "Fairport Convention" Judy Dyble group held a successful tour of the UK and the Netherlands. But then Steve Miller left in the "Caravan", where in the album "Waterloo Lily" were used songs written for and unreleased second album "Delivery". Phil Miller went to the "Matching Mole". And on the ruins of "Delivery" after numerous perturbations born artist "Hatfield And The North".
